In Africa woman is washing herself in Nile
And trying to keep on her smile.
Children are imagining a food's smell
And wishing a bonbon of caramel.
Men are sailing far, far away
The same as it was yesterday.
The ground is becoming more and more dry
And saying: Life, goodbye.
In Europe workers are building a tower
On a place where yesterday was a flower.
Children are eating hot dog
In front of the stall in town's smog.
Grown-ups are all depressed
Cuz of their worries about how to get dressed.
Boys are keeping their fight
And destroying a wall which was recently white.
Girls are buying a new shampoo
And wondering which make-up is true.
But we are forgetting to sky-blue,
To laugh which we can do.
There are still around us sunflowers
And waterfalls which can give us showers.
There it's not everything sad,
So try to be oftener glad.
We have to forget yesterday
And live for a new day.
